WESTERN AUSTRALIA POLICE HISTORICAL SOCIETY (WAPHS) — THE YEAR AHEAD!
A number of projects, events and general running of the WAPHS hinge on the support of our main partner the WA Police Force (WAPF). After all, we occupy crown land administered by a lease arrangement with the Minister for Police.
Having been gifted a number of decommissioned police vehicles by the WAPF in 2021, we now have to ensure they are placed under cover with proper security measures in place. This is a significant project. Sea Containers gone, carport and garage plans and approval underway.
Researching and preserving WA Police History is our objective. A WAPF Curator is on the way and, hopefully, a WAPF Service History Research Officer. We await news on the Australian Policing Museum project taking place in Canberra.
